Moving Trees

You may know, by now, how much i love the forest…

This view is a bit particular because it’s seen from a path. Here, the forest has been cut hard, revealing a serie of trunks. No leaf on the foreground. Only an enormous mass of wood surging from the ground, dividing in branches. Each one trying to find its own way towards sunlight ! From the earth to the sky, this wealth of tentacle-like branches seems to be moving.

Even before i finished this painting, my friend Stefano (who’s really sensitive) suggested me that unusual title. He was right !

“Moving trees”, oil on canvas, 60×80 cm (1070€)
